We are currently looking for a full-time Line Cook to work at the Bistro and Café of La Grand Roue de Montreal.
The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule (Weekends, holidays and evenings) according to business needs.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the preparation of food for the clients of the Bistro and ensures that the service, products and working environment meet the set hygiene, safety and quality requirements. He or She will have a flexible schedule (Weekends, holidays and evenings) according to business needs.
The position’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring the orders of the clients are prepared correctly and efficiently, according to set recipes and quality standards;
- Preparing the mise en place for all items on the menu and monitoring the quality of the food;
- Restocking the kitchen supplies after closing hours and notifies the supervisor is a product needs to be purchased;
- Ensuring a safe and clean workplace and compliance to safety, hygiene and quality standards;
- Monitoring and ensuring the machines and equipment are safe and in a proper condition;
- Executing their job in accordance with the approved Brand Experience related policies;
- Carrying out other job-related activities that are assigned by the Chef or management.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills/attributes:
- MAPAQ training is preferred
- Degree in culinary arts is preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Reliable and a team-player
- Able to work under pressure
- Fluent in both French and English
